Exciting Announcement regarding Confederation Trail

Excellent news shared today as the province has released a comprehensive report stating that the Confederation trail will remain exclusively a non motorized trail!!!!

A comprehensive review completed this past fall included 5744 completed online surveys, 174 written email submissions and 753 participants across four community workshops. The report can be viewed here. Further recommendations will be released this spring.

A huge thank you to all of you who shared your voice, filled out surveys, attended these workshops and lobbied hard to keep the trail a safe space for Islanders. The full report can be viewed here. A great news day!!

Land Acknowledgement

In the spirit of Reconciliation, we acknowledge that the land upon which we gather is unceded Mi’kmaq territory. Epekwitk (Prince Edward Island), Mi’kma’ki, is covered by the historic Treaties of Peace and Friendship. We pay our respects to the Indigenous Mi’kmaq People who have occupied this Island for over 12,000 years; past, present and future.
