If you like fresh air and fun people, Island Trails is always looking for volunteers.
Maintenance Workers
We require chainsaw operators, people to operate string trimmers, people to cut back branches using loppers, and general labourers to stack wood, move wood off trails, and carry building materials into project sites. This maintenance work is seasonal and there is more done in the spring and autumn than at any other time.
Guided Walks
We are also looking for people to lead and assist with guided walks which is a year-round endeavour.
Board of Directors
Island Trails has a Board of Directors that oversees our membership recruiting, outreach, organization, funding, financial management, administration, policies, operations, etc. These are very important behind the scenes people in our organization. We need people with skills and or an interest in these areas. Experience is certainly appreciated but not necessary. Please reach out.
