NE TENTEZ PAS CE SENTIER \u00c0 MOINS D\u2019AVOIR DES COMP\u00c9TENCES EN CARTOGRAPHIE. \u00c9VITEZ CE SENTIER PENDANT LES MOIS D\u2019HIVER.<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Un v\u00e9ritable voyage dans le temps, ce bois\u00e9 r\u00e9v\u00e8le le pass\u00e9 forestier de l\u2019\u00cele. La superficie du bois\u00e9 occupe 106 hectares (260 acres). Les quatre esp\u00e8ces d\u2019\u00e9rables indig\u00e8nes de l\u2019\u00cele-du-Prince-\u00c9douard s\u2019y trouvent\u00a0: l\u2019\u00e9rable \u00e0 sucre, l\u2019\u00e9rable rouge, l\u2019\u00e9rable de Pennsylvanie et l\u2019\u00e9rable \u00e0 \u00e9pis. Les arbres de la section arri\u00e8re ressemblent beaucoup \u00e0 ceux que connaissaient les premiers colons europ\u00e9ens \u00e0 l\u2019\u00cele-du-Prince-\u00c9douard, il y a plus de 200 ans. Ce site est une zone naturelle d\u00e9sign\u00e9e. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Il n\u2019y a pas de stationnement sauf le long de l\u2019accotement de l\u2019autoroute. Marchez tout droit vers l\u2019ouest le long d\u2019une route de campagne pour environ 750 m, puis continuez tout droit dans les bois sur un large chemin herbeux. Plus vous avancez, plus les arbres deviennent progressivement matures jusqu\u2019\u00e0 ce que, vers la fin, il y ait de tr\u00e8s grands arbres \u00e0 feuilles caduques. Il y a deux embranchements de sentiers \u00e0 90 degr\u00e9s qui sont sans issue \u00e0 la limite de la propri\u00e9t\u00e9 au nord. \u00c0 la fin du sentier principal, vous pouvez tourner \u00e0 gauche (sud) et aller directement vers le Sentier de la Conf\u00e9d\u00e9ration. De l\u00e0, vous pouvez revenir en arri\u00e8re jusqu\u2019\u00e0 votre point de d\u00e9part sur l\u2019autoroute ou tourner \u00e0 gauche (est) sur le Sentier de la Conf\u00e9d\u00e9ration pour vous rendre aux sentiers Souris Striders ou simplement marcher sur le Sentier de la Conf\u00e9d\u00e9ration jusqu\u2019au pavillon de ski de fond.
