From the park head toward the beach where there is a boardwalk. Follow the boardwalk and the path through the mowed grass field. If you want the long version of the hike, continue along the shore path towards the Ark. In late 2008 the pathways around the Ark were not well maintained but were still passable with some difficulty. It may be worth the trouble as it is very scenic. There is an old, creaky look-off platform at the end of the point which has eroded considerable over the last few years.
Sally's Beach has unsupervised swimming at a very nice beach. The park also has change facilities and washrooms. For more information, contact: (902) 583-3523 Off-season: (902) 652-8950
The Ark was built in 1976 as a prototype human bioshelter using solar energy, windmills, organic agriculture outdoors and in a greenhouse which included indoor fish farming. It was transformed into an Inn many years ago and more recently morphed into a Restaurant serving breakfast and lunch with dinner served at its nearby sister property, The Inn at Bay Fortune. Open early June to Oct. 1.
They say: "Nature based adventure such as cycling, kayaking and eco-tourism are all big attractions: we have nature trails; hiking; beach combing; sea kayaking; and biking."

Take #4 Highway to Dundas, turn South on Highway 310 and go 13 km to the Trail Head at Sally's Beach Provincial Day Park. Optionally can take the lane to Spry Point and the Ark.
