Island Trails is a not-for-profit, non-government volunteer organization which actively supports the promotion, development and enhancement of trails across P.E.I. for healthy recreational and educational use.
The Confederation Trail, which utilizes Prince Edward Island’s abandoned railway lines, offers Islanders and visitors alike a tranquil area for walking, cycling, bird watching and enjoying magnificent scenery. The Confederation Trail is part of the TransCanada Trail which spans the country coast to coast. In winter the Confederation Trail is used by snowmobile enthusiasts.
Information on the Confederation and other trails as well as an excellent map is available at the Visitor Information Centres and from our office at Island Nature Trust on Mt. Edward Road in Charlottetown.
